Bonsai Fine Arts is home to a state-of-the-art wood working shop where efficiency and innovation work hand in hand with our skilled carpenters to produce high-quality, reasonably-priced crates. With over 50 years of combined experience in the crating and packing of fragile objects, our designers and technicians have mastered the art of crate building.
Museum Travel Crates
Museum Travel Crate: Designed primarily for traveling exhibitions which allows for simplicity in unpacking and repacking artworks.
- 1/2″ AC (or MDO) plywood
- 3/4″ HT pine battens
- International Travel Certification (ICCP stamp)
- Polyester Urethane foam lining
- Bolt plate/gasket closure / Wooden handles
- 2 x 4 skids
- Exterior lacquer finish
- Inner foam core box or core trays (optional)
- Reinforced plywood trays for heavy objects

International Two-Way Crates
The Bonsai Fine Arts standard, focusing on efficiency of space and budget concerns.
- 1/2 ” AC plywood
- 3/4″ HT pine battens
- International Travel Certification (ICCP stamp)
- Screw lid closure
- Tyvek lining
- Wooden handles
- 2 x 4 skids
Butterfly Storage Crates
Designed to accommodate overweight, oversized &/or complicated objects as well as objects being stored for longer periods of time.
- Same construction as International Two-Way Crate
- All sides are removable
